The RedMagic Astra, a global variant of its Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, has officially launched as a rival to Lenovo’s Legion Y700 Gen 4 gaming tablet. The new device boasts the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a compact 9.06-inch OLED screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1504 x 2400 pixel resolution.
RedMagic’s cooling system pairs well with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, providing stable performance under heavy loads. The tablet also features an 8,200 mAh battery that supports fast charging and can last up to 33 hours of movie playback or 5.56 hours of AAA gaming.
Other notable features include a pre-installed PC game emulator, dual X-axis linear motors for vibration, and a speaker system with DTS:X Ultra. The base model starts at $549 for 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the top-end configuration costs $699 for 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
