Apple Sues Leaker Jon Prosser for Stolen iOS Secrets

Tech giant Apple has filed a lawsuit against popular leaker Jon Prosser, accusing him of stealing trade secrets related to the upcoming iOS 26. According to the lawsuit, Prosser allegedly hired another man, Michael Ramacciotti, to access an Apple employee’s development iPhone and share sensitive information with him.

Prosser claims he was unaware of how the information was obtained. However, Apple alleges that Prosser offered Ramacciotti a financial incentive in exchange for accessing the iPhone passcode of friend Ethan Lipnik, a software engineer working on iOS.

Apple discovered the alleged scheme after an anonymous email revealed details about Prosser’s recording of a video call between Prosser and Ramacciotti. During this call, Ramacciotti shared the iOS 26 design with Prosser, which he later leaked to his audience.

As a result, Apple fired Lipnik for breaching company security policies. The lawsuit demands damages and prevents Prosser from sharing any further Apple trade secrets.

Prosser has responded to the allegations on social media, claiming that Apple’s account is not accurate and that he will provide evidence to prove it. However, the lawsuit aims to stop him from disclosing sensitive information in the future.
