Taylor Swift’s Glitter Freckle Maker Becomes Million-Dollar Sensation

A Kansas City Chiefs game in October was the catalyst for a beauty company’s signature product to go viral. Co-founders Aliett Buttelman and Nina LaBruna, of Fazit, had their makeup patches spotted on Taylor Swift during the matchup between the Chiefs and Saints. Swift wore Fazit’s “speckles” press-on makeup patch without paying for it.

The brand received widespread media attention, with news outlets covering Swift’s unique look but initially neglecting to mention Fazit as the product’s manufacturer. To address this, Buttelman and LaBruna reached out to style reporters, explaining that Swift had indeed used their product and emphasizing its authenticity.

Within 48 hours, sales of Fazit’s makeup patches skyrocketed by over 3,500%, reaching $1 million. This significant spike was largely due to a recent restocking order and the brand’s swift action in meeting demand.
