iOS 26 Public Beta Release Date Spotted in Mid-July

Apple’s next iPhone software update, iOS 26, will start with a developer beta release in June and is expected to reach its public beta phase later this month. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the first public beta will likely be released on July 22.

Gurman attributes the delay to iOS 26 being a significant design overhaul that requires extra time for testing. This time, however, the public beta will be based on the fourth developer beta version, which is expected to be more stable than usual. The release date aligns with typical patterns, but delays are possible due to the complexity of the new software.

The iOS 26 update is set to launch alongside the iPhone 17 series and some earlier models, marking a significant change for Apple’s next-generation smartphones.
