Veteran soap opera star Eileen Fulton has died at the age of 91. A longtime cast member on the CBS show “As The World Turns,” Fulton played the role of Lisa Miller for over 50 years, making her one of the longest-running actors in U.S. soap operas.
Fulton’s portrayal of a classic daytime villain earned her recognition and accolades. She was inducted into the Soap Opera Hall of Fame in 1998 and won a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. Fulton also appeared on Broadway in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” and off-Broadway in “The Fantasticks.”
In addition to her acting career, Fulton authored two autobiographies, “How My World Turns” and “As My World Still Turns,” as well as a series of mystery novels. She retired from the show in 2019 and moved back to Black Mountain, N.C., where she will be remembered at a funeral service on August 9.
