George Karlaftis Extends With Chiefs for Four Years

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the team. The deal is worth $93 million, with $62 million guaranteed. After playing just three seasons, Karlaftis’ new deal ties him to the team until 2030. He was drafted 30th overall in 2022 and has quickly become a key contributor, starting 53 of 59 regular season and playoff games. The 24-year-old lineman boasts impressive statistics, including 115 tackles, 24.5 sacks, and eight postseason sacks. With the new deal, Karlaftis will celebrate at training camp next Monday with his fellow players, who have two new contracts to look forward to.
