Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she had complicated feelings about her ex-partner Brad Pitt, whom she dated from 1994 to 1997. The two were engaged and split after Pitt’s highly publicized wedding to Jennifer Aniston in 2000.
In an upcoming biography, “Gwyneth: The Biography,” Paltrow is quoted as saying she felt sad when she learned of Pitt’s marriage to Aniston. However, the news did not come out publicly.
Paltrow was reportedly upset and took a jab at Pitt during an interview in 2000. When asked about her feelings on Pitt’s wedding to Aniston, she responded with daggers in her eyes, saying “I can’t comment on this kind of thing.” She later confided to friends that she thought Pitt had terrible taste in women.
The actress also reportedly made a derogatory comment about Pitt during a business meeting. According to a friend, Paltrow said Pitt was “dumber than a sack of s—.”
Despite their complicated past, Paltrow’s family gave Pitt their stamp of approval. Her father, Bruce Paltrow, and friends thought he was the “nicest guy.” In 2023, Paltrow appeared on “Call Her Daddy” podcast and revealed she was “totally heartbroken” after their split.
Paltrow eventually moved on and married Chris Martin in 2003, with whom she had children. She then found love again with TV writer and producer Brad Falchuk, whom she has been married to since 2018.
