TIFF 2023: New Faces Shine on Red Carpet

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced its latest lineup, featuring directorial debuts from comedian Aziz Ansari, “Euphoria” breakout Maude Apatow, and “Succession” star Brian Cox. The festival will also see world premieres of films like Alex Winter’s “Adulthood,” Bobby Farrelly’s “Driver’s Ed,” and Benny Safdie’s “The Smashing Machine,” starring Dwayne the Rock Johnson.

Other notable films include Scarlett Johansson’s “Eleanor the Great,” Gus Van Sant’s “Dead Man’s Wire,” and Jafar Panahi’s Palme d’Or winner “It Was Just an Accident.” Canadian director Anne Émond will close out the festival with her film “Peak Everything” on September 13.

The TIFF lineup is packed with star-studded talent, including Channing Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, and Nia DaCosta. The festival’s organizers have promised a cinematic season defined by excellence, glamour, and memorable moments.
