Jonathan Fitzpatrick, a seasoned industry expert with over two decades of experience in franchising and quick service restaurants, will join Subway as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on July 28, 2025. Prior to his appointment, Fitzpatrick served as President and CEO of Driven Brands, where he successfully led the company to 17 consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth.
Fitzpatrick’s extensive background includes senior leadership positions at Burger King, including Executive Vice President and Chief Brand and Operations Officer. During his tenure, he oversaw a significant menu overhaul and simplified restaurant operations to modernize the brand’s image.
Subway’s current Interim CEO Carrie Walsh will work closely with Fitzpatrick to ensure a seamless transition. Under Fitzpatrick’s leadership, Subway aims to drive increased sales, franchisee profitability, and growth globally.
