Aaron Phypers Denies Abuse Allegations, Claims Denise Richards Needs Intervention

Actor Aaron Phypers has written a text to friends and family denying the abuse allegations made by his estranged wife Denise Richards. The claims, which were made in court documents filed last week, include physical violence, threatening behavior, and emotional distress.

In the letter, Phypers says he loves Richards more than words can express but disputes the allegations, stating that he has never physically harmed her and has only acted to protect her from harm. He attributes the black eye Richards claims he gave her to an incident where she stumbled and hit a pole with a light on it.

Phypers also accuses Richards of having an ongoing affair and claims that his loved ones are being unfairly targeted and publicly shamed by the allegations. He believes Richards needs “intervention” due to what he says is her struggles with addiction, citing instances where she has passed out from substances.

The letter, which was obtained by Page Six and US Weekly, is Phypers’ response to Richards’ claims of ongoing abuse during their five-year marriage. The couple’s divorce was finalized in July 2025, with Richards filing for a restraining order against Phypers last week.

Richards has not yet commented on the letter, which can be read here.
