Pokémon Friends: New Puzzle Game Released Today

The Pokémon Company has announced a new game called Pokémon Friends, a daily puzzle game available for mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. Players untangle yarn to solve puzzles and create collectible plush toys. The game is free to download with puzzles offered daily, but some content requires DLC packs. The Direct also showcased other upcoming titles, including Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

The game’s release comes alongside a new bundle for the Switch 2 console, priced at $499.99. This includes the game and console, mirroring the launch price of the original Switch with Mario Kart World. Meanwhile, Nintendo plans to raise the price of the original Switch in August for certain regions.

Pokémon Friends is a casual puzzle game that focuses on collecting plush toys by solving daily puzzles. Players can customize their rooms with created plush toys. The game’s puzzles are randomized and dictate which plush toys can be made. For those who want more content, DLC packs are available for $15 each or as part of a package for $26.
