Rocksteady is ending its support for Season 4 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with a final update in January, but players will still get a highly-requested feature. Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, will be playable in December, alongside an offline mode that allows single-player content to be enjoyed forever.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s fourth and final season is set in a medieval-inspired Elseworld invaded by Brainiac, marking a significant change of pace for the game. Players will experience a new story with Deathstroke as the main character, equipped with anti-grav tech that enhances his combat abilities. The offline mode will keep players engaged with single-player content without relying on online servers.
The update concludes Rocksteady’s live-service focus and seasonal model, which was initially met with mixed reviews after the game’s launch in February. Despite strong sales early on, engagement dropped off quickly, leading to Warner Bros. taking a $200 million loss on the title. However, the addition of offline mode is seen as a positive move for players.
Players can currently purchase Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at a discounted price, and Rocksteady’s next project remains under wraps but may involve assisting sister studio Avalanche Software with an enhanced edition of Hogwarts Legacy.
