Lenovo Legion Go 2 Review Teaser: Hands-On Details Revealed

Lenovo has been teasing a second-generation handheld console, the Legion Go 2, for some time now, but until recently, we hadn’t seen any official footage of the device in action. Thankfully, that changed when YouTube channel creator shared a hands-on review of the “Lenovo Legion Go 2 Prototype” on Reddit.

According to the reviewer, one of the most noticeable changes from the original Legion Go is the improved controller design, which promises to be more comfortable to use. This is music to the ears of fans who have been holding off on buying the first-generation model due to concerns over the detachable controllers’ ergonomics.

The Legion Go 2 also boasts an impressive OLED screen with a 500-nit panel and 1200p resolution at 144 Hz, ideal for gaming. The reviewer notes that this is slightly higher than initially reported, with some speculating that Lenovo may release different versions of the device with varying hardware configurations to cater to different price points.

In terms of hardware, the prototype appears to feature a Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, while other rumors suggest that there could be more affordable variants with faster memory frequencies. The device also seems to have better vibration and speaker quality compared to its predecessor.

One area where Lenovo has taken steps to address fan concerns is in the grip design, which promises to be more ergonomic and comfortable. However, some may be put off by the slightly heavier weight of 938g with controllers attached.

While early impressions are promising, it’s essential to wait until official pricing and release details become available before making any conclusions about the Legion Go 2’s value proposition.
