macOS 26 Tahoe Public Beta Adds Color Customization

Apple has released the public beta of macOS 26 Tahoe, along with betas for iOS, iPadOS, and other operating systems. The update brings several significant changes, including a new Liquid Glass aesthetic that will be applied across Apple’s entire product lineup.

One notable feature is the introduction of full color customization for the Mac. Users can now customize various aspects of their desktop environment, including:

* Window and app mode (Light or Dark)
* Icon and widget mode (Light, Dark, transparent, or tinted)
* Folder color
* Text highlight color
* Theme color

This level of control over visual settings is a significant improvement over previous versions of macOS. Users can personalize their desktop experience with greater ease than ever before.

Note that some users may already be familiar with similar customization options in Accessibility settings for pointer outline and fill colors. The new Tahoe update builds upon this foundation, providing more flexibility and options for users to tailor their Mac’s appearance to their preferences.
