Jaguars’ 2025 Training Camp resumed on Thursday, marking the second day under new Head Coach Liam Coen’s leadership. The team conducted a 1 hour and 45 minute practice in helmets and shorts at the Miller Electric Center.
Coaches John Oehser, J.P. Shadrick, and Kainani Stevens observed key developments during the session. They noted that the Jaguars’ intensity has been high throughout two days of camp, with multiple 11-on-11 and seven-on-seven periods. The team will practice in pads for the first time next Monday, which should bring full-contact hitting to their run drills.
The defense impressed on Thursday, intercepting two passes off backup quarterbacks and defending at least three other passes. Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile praised rookie Caleb Ransaw’s outstanding play, saying that the evaluation of the defensive backs will continue into the season.
Rookie Travis Hunter continues to shine on offense, while veteran Travon Walker made a notable pass-breakup during practice. Coach Campanile commended Walker for his leadership and skills on the field.
The Jaguars remain positive about their progress, with two more “ramp-up” days left before pads are introduced next Monday.
