The beloved promotion has been retired, with Adamolekun stating there are no plans to bring it back. The program ultimately hurt Red Lobster’s finances, triggering multimillion-dollar losses due to customers out-eating the chain’s margins.

Instead, Red Lobster is shifting strategy to focus on value in more sustainable forms, including appetizer deals, weekday happy hours, and new menu items. Adamolekun has prioritized innovation and agility, responding quickly to customer feedback via social media.

New menu additions include Lobster Pappardelle Pasta, Bacon-Wrapped Sea Scallops, and revitalized favorites like hush puppies and popcorn shrimp. The company is also introducing spicy, Old Bay Parmesan, and Cajun sausage options.

Concerns about U.S. tariffs on imported seafood have been alleviated by Adamolekun’s assurance that almost 90% of Red Lobster’s key seafood comes from North America and Canada, which are largely exempt from new tariffs under agreements like USMCA.
