A woman who filmed a viral clip of a concert cuddle between Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, the CEO and head of HR at software company Astronomer, has revealed that she hasn’t made any money from the footage. The incident sparked controversy after Byron’s resignation from his role amid an investigation into alleged infidelity.
Byron was married to Megan Kerrigan Byron when he appeared on screen with Cabot during Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. Singer Chris Martin said they may have been having an affair or were shy, sparking speculation about their relationship.
When asked about the controversy on ITV’s This Morning, Grace Springer stated that she hadn’t monetized the clip and was unaware of its massive online presence. Springer claimed to be “hoping to capture moments” during the concert, not realizing it would become a viral sensation.
Springer expressed sympathy for Andy Byron’s family and those affected by the scandal, but also acknowledged her role in sharing the footage. She stated that she wishes others had been honest about their relationships before she shared the video.
The controversy led to Astronomer launching an investigation into alleged infidelity and both Byron and Cabot being placed on leave. However, CEO Andy Byron resigned from his position soon after, with co-founder Pete DeJoy taking over as interim CEO.
