AMD has confirmed that the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series will be available to retailers starting next Thursday, July 31st. The flagship 64-core model, the Threadripper 9980X, will launch for $4999 USD, while the 32-core Threadripper 9970X and 24-core Threadripper 9960X will retail at $2499 USD and $1499 USD respectively.
The new Zen 5-based processors were previously detailed by AMD last month. The company has also announced that all benchmark numbers for the Threadripper 9000 series have been run under Microsoft Windows 11, with further testing planned for Linux to determine its performance in this environment.
The Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series is part of a broader lineup of high-performance processors from AMD, which includes the Ryzen 9000 series and EPYC 4005/9005 series. While no official launch dates have been confirmed for these products, they are expected to offer impressive performance.
