Samsung Closes Internal One UI Leaks, Ending Early Firmware Access

Samsung has fixed a loophole that allowed developers to access internal test servers used to seed software updates for its devices. This means that early builds of One UI 8.5, which were previously leaked, cannot be accessed anymore.

The leak was discovered a few months ago when a developer found a way to locate and download under-development firmware files meant for Samsung’s internal testing. As a result, early builds of One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 were made available.

However, with this fix, the company has blocked access to these internal files. This means that developers will not be able to download leaked firmware builds or see new software features before they are released.

Despite this, Samsung will still provide beta versions of One UI to users, allowing them to test new features before they become stable updates for compatible devices. The company is expected to open the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25 series early next year.

For those who have a Galaxy phone or tablet, publicly released firmware files are still available for download.
