Elden Ring: Duo Expeditions Mode Coming in Patch 1.02

FromSoftware has confirmed that a two-player Duo Expeditions mode will arrive in Elden Ring Nightreign with the upcoming Patch 1.02, set to launch on July 30. This long-awaited feature has been a hotly requested addition by players, who can now embark on expeditions with just their trusted duos partner.

The new mode replaces the current options of solo or trio play, allowing for more intimate and challenging experiences. Director Junya Ishizaki had previously acknowledged that this feature was overlooked during development, but FromSoftware has committed to adding it as a quality-of-life update.

Patch 1.02 also includes improved Relic filtering options, which should be beneficial for players with large relic collections. Additionally, the next Everdark cycle will begin on July 31, bringing enhanced fights for Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and the Fissure in the Fog.

The inclusion of Duo Expeditions is a welcome addition to Elden Ring Nightreign’s live service-oriented gameplay, and its release comes relatively soon after the game’s launch. With potential DLC on the horizon, it’s clear that FromSoftware remains committed to supporting the game with ongoing updates and content additions.
