The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a three-year, $36 million extension with safety Josh Metellus. The deal more than triples his previous contract, increasing his total value to four years and $39.675 million. A sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Metellus became a regular contributor on defense last season after making 27 starts over the past two seasons. The extension comes after Metellus sat out of team drills during the offseason program while waiting for his new deal.
