Trump Criticized by Protesters During Scotland Golf Trip

US President Donald Trump was criticized by protesters on Saturday during his golf trip in Scotland, where hundreds gathered to denounce his presence and policies.

Trump played with his son Eric and other officials at Turnberry course, but demonstrators took to the streets in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, objecting to his stance on immigration, Gaza, and trade. Protesters also held signs criticizing Trump’s ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, whom he had befriended for 15 years before a falling out.

Stop Trump Scotland organized a rally, calling it a “festival of resistance” against the president’s policies. Signs carried messages ranging from opposition to mass migration and wind power to demands for the release of Epstein files. One woman held a sign with nine photos of Trump and Epstein together, calling their friendship “Best Friends Forever.”

Trump dismissed criticism of his association with Epstein, saying he was focused on making deals rather than conspiracy theories. He planned to meet with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday to discuss trade.

The US has secured some trade deals in Europe recently, including one with Japan, but has yet to achieve its goal of securing 90 trade deals within 90 days.
