Sofronio Vasquez, a Filipino singer, has won season 26 of The Voice, beating out fellow contestants Shye, Danny Joseph, Jeremy Beloate, and Sydney Sterlace.
Vasquez’s journey on the show began after he earned a four-chair turn during his blind audition with Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down.” He was later mentored by Canadian singer Michael Bublé. Throughout the season, Vasquez received encouraging feedback from Bublé and showcased impressive performances of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream.”
Bublé praised Vasquez for his strength and resilience during a difficult time in his life, including the death of his father. The coach’s words of encouragement played a significant role in Vasquez’s success on the show.
After being crowned the winner, Vasquez expressed gratitude to Bublé and the production team for their support. He plans to celebrate the experience with his loved ones, regardless of the outcome.
