A French resort town has introduced fines of up to 150 euros ($175) for people walking around topless or in swimsuits off the beach. Mayor Yannick Moreau criticized “indecent behavior” and called on local police to enforce a rule that aims to maintain respect for locals and basic hygiene standards. This move follows similar measures taken by other French towns, including Arcachon and La Grande-Motte, as well as cities like Malaga in Spain.
