Greece Protests Turn Violent Amid Israeli Tourist Tensions

Clashes in Greek port as protesters confront Israeli tourists
A growing wave of demonstrations across Greece has turned violent, with anti-war protests against the ongoing conflict in Gaza morphing into attacks on Israeli tourists.
Around 1,500 Israelis were blocked from disembarking at a cruise ship terminal in Crete’s Agios Nikolaos port. Authorities described the situation as “racist” and warned that the escalating rallies are crossing a line between protest and attack.

Greek authorities have expressed concern over the rising tensions, suggesting that the anti-war rallies have begun to target Israelis more broadly rather than just expressing opposition to the conflict in Gaza.
