The Jacksonville Jaguars wrapped up their sixth day of training camp, marking the second day of a full-padded practice. Here are five observations from the team’s session at the Miller Electric Center.
Travis Hunter continues to impress
Travis Hunter has been one of the standout players in training camp so far. He dominated at cornerback on Sunday and showed his skills at wide receiver, hauling in several impressive grabs and proving to be a tough cover for defenders.
Dyami Brown finds his footing
After a slow start to training camp, Dyami Brown finally found his rhythm on Tuesday. He took advantage of opportunities and made impact plays both as a rusher and pass-catcher, including a deep shot from Trevor Lawrence.
Trench battles intensify
The physicality in practice increased on Tuesday, with chippy behavior between the offensive line and running backs and defensive front seven. Despite this, the offense still made their plays, with Travis Etienne standing out with several impressive runs.
Trevor Lawrence takes a step forward
Trevor Lawrence showed significant improvement on Tuesday, displaying sharp timing and ball placement in red-zone drills. He looks like he’s trending in a positive direction, making plays as a quarterback instead of just facilitating them.
Play of the day: Jarrian Jones’ interception
The highlight of the practice was Jarrian Jones’ one-handed interception against Brian Thomas Jr.’s coverage. This play showcased the team’s defensive depth and set the stage for an exciting training camp.
