This week’s launch schedule is among the busiest of 2025, with 12 launches scheduled worldwide. SpaceX is set to conduct five missions, including the crewed Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station aboard Falcon 9.
Rocket Lab will also launch a suborbital Electron from Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia mid-week. Internationally, China and India are scheduled for multiple launches, with iSpace’s Shuangquxian 1 rocket launching its eighth flight on July 29 carrying a commercial Earth observation satellite called Kunpeng-03.
Gilmour Space’s Eris rocket launched successfully on July 29 despite initial engine issues. The rocket was designed to be “Australian-made,” highlighting the country’s growing space capabilities. SpaceX will also launch two batches of Starlink satellites, with the first batch launching on July 29 and the second on August 2.
The week is expected to see significant milestones for multiple countries’ space programs, including China’s planned megaconstellation of internet satellites and India’s joint NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite. The launches will mark significant achievements in reusability, hypersonic technology, and Earth observation capabilities.
