This year’s Booker Prize longlist is a diverse and intriguing group of authors, each with their own unique style and subject matter. Roddy Doyle, chair of judges for the 2025 Booker Prize, praised the nominees, saying they are “alive with great characters and narrative surprises.”

The Booker Prize, awarded to fiction written in English and published in the UK and Ireland, comes with a prize of £50,000 (approximately $66,000). The winner will be announced on November 10 at a livestreamed ceremony in London.
