World of Warcraft’s “War Within” Launch Patch Nears Release

Blizzard has announced the upcoming release of patch 11.0.2 for World of Warcraft, titled “The War Within.” This launch patch will bring significant changes to the game, including balance adjustments to classes and abilities, as well as updates to guild banking and PvP gameplay.

According to Blizzard, the pre-patch version of The War Within has been active for two weeks, with the “Radiant Echoes” event running for over a week. However, despite this testing period, the developers are still not finished making adjustments.

The patch is expected to be released in just a few days, providing about 8 days of time for Blizzard to address any urgent bugs or issues before the launch. This will ensure a smooth early access experience on August 23, with all pre-orders of the Epic Edition set to start at that time.

The changes included in patch 11.0.2 are extensive and too numerous to detail here, but they include over 200 adjustments to classes, bringing significant buffs and nerfs. Some notable updates include improved guild banking for cross-realm guilds and a change to PvP gameplay, where deserters can no longer participate with their entire account until the debuff wears off.
