US Leads Global Quantum Computing Startup Hubs

The United States dominates the global quantum computing startup landscape, with 77 startups operating in the country, followed closely by Canada, which boasts 29 quantum computing startups.

Big tech firms are also investing heavily in quantum technology, with companies like Google, Amazon, and Nvidia exploring its potential. Notably, major breakthroughs were made in quantum computing last year, while startup investment increased by 50% to $2 billion.

The top countries for quantum computing startups in 2025 are the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, France, Germany, China, and several others, with a total of 274 startups globally. American companies, such as QuEra Computing, have secured significant funding rounds, including a $230 million round from SoftBank and Google Quantum AI.

Canada ranks second, with key players like Xanadu Quantum Technologies and Photonic Inc., while Nvidia is investing in quantum computing research centers to integrate it with its supercomputers. The global investment in quantum technology stands at around $54 billion, with national funding announcements reaching $2 billion last year.
