A fairground ride collapse in Saudi Arabia has left at least 23 people injured, with three critically hurt. The incident occurred on a “360 Big Pendulum” ride at an amusement park in Taif, near Jeddah, on Wednesday evening. Videos show the ride’s circular carousel smashing into the other end of the pendulum before hitting the floor.
Prince Saud bin Nahar, the region’s governor, has ordered the immediate closure of the resort while an investigation into the collapse is underway.
