SpaceX successfully launched 19 Starlink satellites on Thursday from the company’s West Coast launch site in California. The rocket, a Falcon 9 booster, lifted off at 11:32:09 a.m. PDT and was followed by the deployment of its payloads.
The mission, dubbed Starlink 13-4, included one of SpaceX’s fleet-leading boosters that had previously made 26 flights. After the launch, SpaceX confirmed the successful separation of all 19 satellites, although the exact number of additional classified satellites on board remains unknown.
According to pre-launch information, the Starlink satellites were destined for a polar orbit at 202×193 miles (325×311 km), inclined at 97.6 degrees to the equator. The deployment was confirmed just over an hour after launch, marking the successful completion of the mission.
