John Krasinski is set to write and direct A Quiet Place Part III, with Paramount Pictures announcing a summer release date of July 9, 2027. The film marks the director’s return to the franchise that catapulted him to A-list status.
Krasinski, who starred in the first film and had a cameo in the second installment, has been developing the third installment for some time. In 2022, he announced the project was targeting a 2025 release, but it was delayed.
The Quiet Place franchise, based on the script by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, has grossed over $900 million globally across three films. The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where alien monsters have crashed on Earth, forcing humans to remain quiet to avoid being killed.
Krasinski will produce A Quiet Place Part III through his production company, Sunday Night Productions, alongside Platinum Dunes and Paramount Pictures. The news was teased by Krasinski on Instagram earlier this week.
