The upcoming game Battlefield 6 will stick to its core visual identity when it comes to cosmetics, according to the game’s developers. Head of Respawn and Battlefield Studios Vince Zampelli and general manager Byron Beede made this promise in an interview with Eurogamer.
Zampelli stated that the team wants to “be true to Battlefield” and create a fantasy that feels like what players expect from the series. He emphasized the importance of sticking to the core identity when it comes to cosmetics.
Beede, who previously led the Call of Duty franchise, acknowledged that crossover skins can be a way for games to differentiate themselves, but said that he doesn’t have to worry about this for Battlefield 6. When asked about the differences between military-themed cosmetics and crossovers from other franchises, Beede replied that there probably is a difference, but refused to elaborate further.
The promise of sticking to its core identity comes as a welcome relief for fans who are looking forward to a more traditional gaming experience in Battlefield 6. The game’s multiplayer mode and global release date have generated significant excitement, and it appears that the developers are committed to delivering a high-quality experience that stays true to the series’ roots.
