HBO Max has partnered with BritBox to bring a limited-time selection of popular British TV series to its platform. From August 1 through September 29, U.S.-based subscribers can access 15 British shows spanning mystery, comedy, and drama genres.
The lineup includes “Sherwood,” “Luther,” “Silent Witness,” “The Office,” “Blue Lights,” “Shakespeare & Hathaway,” and more. Access to these titles is available at no additional cost to HBO Max users, who can find them in a dedicated section called “The Best of British TV by BritBox.”
Among the new titles added to the platform are three must-watch shows: “Luther,” “The Office,” and “Father Brown.”
“Luther” stars Idris Elba as Detective Chief Inspector John Luther, a brilliant but troubled homicide detective. The show follows his unorthodox methods and personal struggles as he navigates complex cases.
“The Office” is a classic British sitcom that originated before the U.S. remake. It follows the daily lives of office employees at Wernham Hogg paper company, led by the hilariously insufferable David Brent.
“Father Brown” is a cozy crime drama based on G.K. Chesterton’s stories about a Roman Catholic priest who solves mysteries using his keen powers of observation and intuition.
These titles are available to stream now on HBO Max as part of this limited-time programming pop-up with BritBox.
