Radiation oncologist Sanjay Mehta had been struggling with a painful Achilles tendinitis on his left ankle for over a year. Despite trying steroid injections and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments, the pain persisted.
However, recently, doctors have turned to low-dose X-ray treatment as an alternative solution. This treatment is being used to ease chronic pain in conditions such as arthritis, plantar fasciitis, and other benign conditions.
According to Mehta and other doctors who use this treatment, it has proven effective in reducing symptoms while minimizing radiation exposure due to its low dosage.
