Blue Origin Conducts Third Crewed New Shepard Flight

Blue Origin successfully launched its third crewed New Shepard flight on August 3, carrying six people to space. The passengers included the winner of an auction for a seat on the company’s first crewed flight in April 2018.

The successful mission marks another milestone for Blue Origin, which has been actively testing and refining its reusable suborbital launch vehicle. This latest flight demonstrates the company’s continued progress towards making space travel more accessible to individuals.

Blue Origin had previously conducted two uncrewed test flights of New Shepard, as well as a crewed test flight in December 2022. The company’s goal is to establish a commercial suborbital launch service that can take paying customers to space. With this latest mission, Blue Origin has taken another step towards achieving this objective.
