iPhone 17 Price Hike Specified – Estimated $50 Increase

A potential price hike on this year’s iPhone 17 lineup has been tipped by an analyst. According to Jefferies, all four models are expected to see a $50 increase compared to the iPhone 16 series. This could result in prices ranging from $849 for the standard iPhone 17 to $1,249 for the Pro Max.

The estimated price hikes apply to all storage options, with the base model starting at 128GB and the Pro Max at 256GB. The new Air model is less well understood, but its price is expected to be only slightly higher than the iPhone 16 Plus.

This isn’t the first time Apple has been rumored to consider a price hike, but it’s not surprising given previous reports of potential increases for recent iPhone releases. The closest previous instance was when Apple removed the 128GB storage option from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

While a $50 price increase may seem minor, it can add up quickly when combined with the already significant cost of an iPhone. However, this prospect is still better than some alternative high-end smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra at $1,299. The exact prices will be revealed at the upcoming iPhone launch event in early September.
