Battlefield 6 Early Access & Open Beta Details

Dive into the world of Battlefield 6 with its upcoming Early Access Beta on August 7, followed by the Open Beta on August 9. In preparation for launch, we’ve made significant changes to address community feedback.

A key focus is connecting new and veteran players through a revised class system. Players can now choose between closed and open weapon modes, starting with the Closed Weapon Conquest playlist in Beta. This allows you to play your way and earn full XP progression in this mode.

Maps and gameplay have also seen significant updates. Changes include improved cover, adjusted objective sizes, and visual enhancements to boost movement and combat pace. Reviving has been added as a new mechanic to Domination, adding an extra layer of strategy and teamwork to the experience.

The Assault class now emphasizes team play with reworked traits and gadgets that encourage cooperation. New features include the Deploy Beacon, which is part of the Assault gadget pool and serves as a teamplay tool for frontline flanking. A completely new gadget, the Assault Ladder, has also been introduced, providing squads with access to previously unreachable areas.

The Engineer class has received balanced feedback on their core role in vehicle gameplay and explosives, while Support players have seen positive reception on their signature weapon buffs contributing to the game’s flow.

Recon’s Training Paths have been redefined, focusing on stealth operations. An Active Ability at Level 3 lets Recon call in a UAV for passive spotting, further enhancing squad situational awareness.

As we continue development, stay tuned for updates from our team and join us on the official Battlefield Discord to get the latest news and connect with fellow players.

Note: These game details are subject to change based on community discussions, player data, and feedback from Battlefield Labs and the Open Beta as we continue developing Battlefield 6 and beyond.
