Fortnite Players to Receive Up to $114 Refunds from FTC Settlement

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is distributing up to $114 in refunds to hundreds of thousands of people who played Fortnite between 2017 and 2022. To file a claim, players must fill out the official form online using their Epic Account ID or previously obtained claim number. Players must be at least 18 years old to submit the claim. The deadline for filing claims is January 10, 2025.

To determine if you may apply for a refund, check the FTC website’s three eligibility criteria:

* You were charged in-game currency for items you didn’t want between January 2017 and September 2022.
* Your child made charges to your credit card without your knowledge between January 2017 and November 2018.
* Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you complained to your credit card company about wrongful charges.

If eligible, players can expect payment via PayPal within 30 days or a check within 90 days. For more information and assistance, contact Rust Consulting, the refund administrator for this settlement.
