A live strike from Israeli forces has resulted in the death of 13 Palestinians who were providing aid in the Gaza Strip. This incident occurred in the western area of Rafah city, according to reports from the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
The Gaza health ministry has reported that over 44,835 Palestinians have been killed and 106,356 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023. The conflict has entered its 432nd day.
Israeli forces completed their first withdrawal from a town in southern Lebanon, handing control to the Lebanese military under a ceasefire agreement. However, both sides have accused each other of violations.
Meanwhile, a suspected Palestinian shooting attack on an Israeli bus in the occupied West Bank killed a 10-year-old boy and injured four others. The Israeli military is pursuing the gunman and has set up roadblocks and encircled an area near the Palestinian city of Bethlehem.
The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, with 158 countries voting in favor and nine against. However, Israel’s envoy Danny Danon rejected the resolution, saying it was “beyond logic” and not a vote for compassion but complicity.
In other news, Israeli troops withdrew from the first occupied town in Lebanon, ceding control to the Lebanese army under the ceasefire agreement. The ceasefire has generally held, but Israel continues to bomb Lebanon, resulting in four deaths and several injuries.
