Finn Wolfhard has revealed that the cast of Stranger Things once discussed getting a group tattoo to commemorate their time on the series. The idea, which was never finalized, symbolized the bond formed by the 11 cast members and reflected the diversity of their experiences on set.
According to Wolfhard, the designs varied because each person had different storylines and the show meant different things to different people. Sadie Sink suggested a flashlight, while others preferred simple dates or Hawkins High mascots. The plan was discussed as the cast approached filming for the finale, which Wolfhard described as an emotional experience.
Wolfhard recalled that some cast members, including those who had already finished filming, returned to watch the final moments of production. He found himself part of a key moment with “some” of the original “kids,” but stopped short of revealing details. The experience was so emotional that he didn’t process it at first, and instead celebrated with champagne.
The tattoo idea represents more than just nostalgia for Wolfhard; it’s about honoring his career and embracing the show that shaped it. He believes that trying to replace or move on from Stranger Things would be the wrong thing to do. Instead, he aims to keep the cast’s connection alive by exploring new projects and possibilities.
As Season 5 of Stranger Things approaches, with its release in three parts, Wolfhard is focusing on his next steps. The show’s finale is set for New Year’s Eve, while Wolfhard continues to expand his career through music, directing, and film projects.
