Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been handed a three-game suspension by the NFL, ESPN reports. The suspension applies to games against the Bears, Falcons, and Bengals.
Addison was arrested in mid-July 2024 and initially faced DUI charges. A plea agreement was reached late last month, which led to the final conclusion of the case and the subsequent suspension. Addison had already shown promise as a rookie starter, but the incident has put his extension eligibility into question.
The suspension emerges at a critical time for Addison’s team, with quarterback Justin Jefferson missing practice due to another hamstring injury. While Jefferson’s regular-season availability is not immediately concerning, Addison’s absence highlights the impact of veteran recovery on the team’s depth.
Addison will be eligible for Minnesota’s preseason but will miss the first three games. The Vikings have Jalen Nailor and Tai Felton as complementary options while he is sidelined, and have also signed Rondale Moore in free agency.
