Recent leaks from the Camera FV-5 database suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s main camera will retain several features from its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The leaked specs indicate that the S25 Ultra will feature a 200MP Samsung HP2 sensor, 16-in-1 pixel binning technology resulting in 12.5MP output images, and a virtual pixel resolution of 4,080 by 3,060 pixels.
However, there are also some notable differences. The leaked specs reveal that the S25 Ultra will have an equivalent focal length of 23.2mm, which is slightly wider than the S24 Ultra’s 24mm. Additionally, the device is expected to incorporate electronic image stabilization (EIS) in addition to optical image stabilization (OIS).
While the leaks primarily focus on the main camera, there are still several details missing, such as ultra-wide and telephoto lens specs and video recording capabilities. However, experts speculate that software enhancements may improve the camera’s performance despite similar hardware.
The S25 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which could enable advanced computational photography features. As the release date approaches, more information on the device’s camera capabilities will likely become available.
