Apple has released the fifth beta version of macOS Tahoe 26, a major update aimed at developers and testers. Available two weeks after the fourth beta, registered users can download the new software through the System Settings app.
The update brings significant changes to several apps, including Spotlight, Phone, Journal, Messages, Safari, and Notes. Apple’s Liquid Glass redesign will now be extended across all new updates this year. Additionally, a cross-platform Games app has been introduced for the first time on Macs.
Notable features of macOS Tahoe 26 include improved Spotlight functionality, allowing users to complete various actions like sending emails without opening an app. This update paves the way for Apple’s upcoming release in the fall.
