A five-year-old Confederate statue in Washington D.C., toppled and vandalized during protests in 2020, is set to be repaired and returned to its location by fall, according to the National Park Service. The Albert Pike statue was removed from its pedestal during a summer protest in 2020, but will now be reinstalled later this year as part of a restoration project.
