Sofronio Vasquez has been crowned the winner of Season 26 of “The Voice” with a majority of viewer votes. As the new champion, he will receive the $100,000 grand prize and a record deal. This victory marks Coach Michael Bublé’s first win in his debut season as a coach.
Team Bublé singer Vasquez, a 32-year-old from Mindanao, Philippines, delivered two powerful performances during the finale, taking home the title above the other finalists. Seventeen-year-old Shye was the runner-up after performing alongside Coach Bublé.
Vasquez expressed gratitude towards his mentor, Michael Bublé, saying that his guidance had opened doors for him. The coach praised Vasquez, calling it an “unbelievable journey” to win together.
In a surprise turn of events, Vasquez won the competition despite having zero chair turns in his audition during “The Voice of the Philippines.” He eventually turned all four chairs with his song “I’m Going Down” by Mary J. Blige, showcasing his talent.
Season 27 of “The Voice” is set to premiere on February 3, 2025, and will feature returning coaches Adam Levine, John Legend, Michael Bublé, and new country coach Kelsea Ballerini.
