South Park Takes Aim at Noem and ICE in Latest Episode

The second episode of “South Park” season 27 continues its tradition of mocking President Donald Trump and his administration. This time, the show focuses on DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, who is depicted as killing puppies and giving orders to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

Noem is shown in an orientation video admitting to putting her puppy down “by shooting it in the face,” a reference that becomes a recurring gag throughout the episode. The episode also pokes fun at Vice President JD Vance, who is depicted as a toddler-sized sidekick of Trump, constantly shadowing him around Mar-a-Lago.

The show’s latest episode sparked controversy, with the White House describing “South Park” as a “fourth-rate” show. A spokesperson for the president called the show “uninspired” and stated that it was trying to get attention after being relevant for over 20 years.

However, in response to the backlash, South Park released a teaser for its next episode depicting ICE, prompting the Department of Homeland Security to use a still from the teaser. The official South Park handle responded with a tweet, saying “Wait, so we ARE relevant?” in reference to the White House’s comment about the show being irrelevant.

The controversy surrounding “South Park” continues to highlight the tension between the show and the Trump administration, which has been at odds with the comedian since its early seasons.
