Jaguars’ Travis Hunter to Make Two-Way Debut Against Steelers

Travis Hunter will play receiver and cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars during their preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night. Head coach Liam Coen has confirmed that the team’s starters will also take part in the game, although the duration of their involvement is uncertain.

Coen cited conversations with center Robert Hainsey and quarterback Trevor Lawrence as factors in his decision. The lack of joint practices was another consideration, with only one scheduled for August 21 in Miami.

Hunter has been practicing on both offense and defense three times this week after making his two-way debut in Friday’s scrimmage. The head coach praised the communication and honesty displayed by Hunter and Lawrence, indicating a strong pulse among the team members.
