Actor Brad Pitt is mourning the loss of his mother, Jane Etta Pitt, who passed away at the age of 84. A heartfelt tribute from Pitt’s niece, Sydney Pitt, was shared on Instagram along with family photos.
Sydney described her grandmother as a woman who taught her to “paint, be strong, lead with kindness” and “find joy in small things.” She recalled Jane’s boundless love for everyone, saying there was no limit to the love she gave.
Jane Etta maintained a private life despite her son’s fame, accompanying Brad to several high-profile events. Just before her death, Pitt publicly praised his mother during an appearance on “Today.”
She is survived by her husband William Alvin Pitt and three children, including 61-year-old Brad Pitt, Doug, Julie, and 14 grandchildren.
